COBRA Health Insurance

Simplifying COBRA Insurance Coverage

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) of 1985 gives workers and families the right to extend their group health benefits for a limited period of time following certain circumstances such as job loss or transition, death, divorce or other life changes. In general, COBRA requires group health plans to offer continuation coverage for those sponsored by employers with 20-plus employees in the prior year in certain instances where plan coverage would otherwise end.

By turning your COBRA management needs over to Cypress Benefit Administrators, your company can ensure compliance with the regulations and eliminate the extra work of trying to coordinate the details. We determine who qualified beneficiaries are, send timely election notices and handle all of the paperwork and tracking involved with continuation coverage.
